The New York Giants offensive line coach says a rookie quarterback is “not the problem” and he’s ready to move on with his career.
The comments come as the team prepares to take on the Arizona Cardinals at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
The team had hoped to have an offensive lineman on the field for every snap of the season, but that has now been cut in half, coach Steve Spagnuolo said.
The Giants, who had three rookies on the roster this week, need to find a starter on the offensive line.
Spagnuol said the quarterback competition is a little too high.
The first four games of the regular season are all decided by a touchdown.
Spags said he doesn’t think there will be a problem finding a quarterback to start in the playoffs, which starts in October.
